Blooming Bouquet Project Kit

Mother's Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There's no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.
As if that weren't enough, the kit contains a "baker's dozen"! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn't normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you'd like to give a little "thank you" to-and introduce them to Stampin' Up!
Ordering information:

Monogram Madness

Last Wednesday, we all met here with our super cool monogram stamps and made some pretty cool cards.  The class fee included your very own personalized monogram stamp.  I had 13 people sign up.

Here are the samples:

I kept all the colors in the neutral palette and used River Rock (goodbye...we'll miss you), Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Basic Black.

We added some Crumb Cake Seam Binding, White Organza and lots of embossing using Mr. Big.  A little neutral designer paper and I was thrilled with how cool they turned out.  Very elegant and when you send these cards to someone, they're just gonna think you're so fancy!

Enjoy!

This and That....Part 4

Here are some more pages from Tabitha's wonderful This and That Journal!

I love animals. My whole life if someone asked me what my favorite kind of animal was, I wouldn't be able to tell you. I lean towards anything in the cat family (wild cats that is) but any kind of zoo animal will do! I LOVE going to zoos

My absolute favorite part of this page was using the washi tape to form some of my letters :-)

how cute is that snoozing lion at the bottom?!?! haha

This was the most FUN page to create so far. I went through all my recipe cards to find pictures of cupcakes to use

I absolutely loved using the washi tape on the edges on the page to create a unique border and look to the page (thank you Pinterest! hehe)

The recipe that I included on the page is my family's current favorite! My husband (who I only need one hand to count the number of times he has eaten dessert in 9 years) ate five of those white wedding cake cupcakes in 48 hours!!!!!

Another idea I found off of Pinterest

I was determined to use all of my supplies from the This & That bundle to try them out and see how they look/work on a page

I used the designer paper to create a border on the edge, the washi tape to hold the border done and the date stamp to mark the time I did the page

think it turned out pretty good

This and That.....Part 3

Our little crafter has been hard at work creating in her lovely Epic Day Journal!!!! I attended Stampin' Up's Regional meeting yesterday in Baltimore....and I will say....This and That was the talk of the place!  So many swaps going on with it....so many people carrying it....so many people just LOVING it!

Let's check in and see what Tabitha has to say about her's!

I wanted to give you a closer look to the details that you will find with the This & That journal

It has 30 pre-created designer paper pages. I honestly don't know how I feel about this feature, I have mixed feelings: on one hand, half the work is done for you, you can just create on top of the page, but then in the same token something already being completely designed for you limits your ability to do with the background paper what you wish. Overall, I like it though. Time saver and a way for a page to look beautifully designed already when you have a page that you only added words to

The front cover has several embossed hexagons on the front of it (still haven't figured out how I am going to decorate the front)

On the inside you will find two pages (one in the front, one in the back) that can be used for a pouch/envelope purpose

Included in the journal package, you will also find two additional envelopes (greenish blue in color and a red one) for more handy storage

NEW Photopolymer set!!!!

I have been playing with our new photopolymer set and I have to say...I do like it.  It's a great value (57 stamps for only $13.95), it's SUPER sticky, so those teeny little letters stay put and it's so easy to see through and makes stamping a breeze!

Well, we now have a new set called Bombs Away Birthday!

What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice

This and That....part 2

Tab has been working her little tail off and playing with her new This and That Epic Day Journal Bundle!

Here is what she's done so far:

page 1:
I had to dig for a photo of myself that I liked (settled on last year's school yearbook photo from work) and just wanted to describe myself at this point in my life. I had a lot of fun using the different colored Stampin' Up Write markers to give the page some color
I am on the hunt for an adorable button to put in the center of the flower I outlined to the left of my picture

another page in my journal
One of my favorite artists this past year has been a Christian teenager by the name of Jamie Grace (FYI She will be at Uprise Festival in Shippensburg in September this year!!)
One of her songs, "God's Girl" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftgPJyG5_L4) is one of my favorites to belt out in the car while it is playing on my Ipod :-P haha

Why not turn a page in my journal into the lyrics of her song?!?!

In my office a small bucket has sat with tickets collecting over the past year or so, I now have a place to store them all together so they wont get lost!
(ooh, hope they fit!)
I liked stamping the border ADMIT ONE on the far left of the double page layout and I used pop dots to make it 3D (had to see in the picture) I got all of the tickets to fit with some leftover room for some cute kernels of popcorn I want to find through clipart and cut them out. I think I am going to pop dot the popcorn as well.

Tabitha's thoughts so far:

creating my journal has been alot of fun so far!
I have made 3 pages/layouts and have just used stampin up write markers plus some letter stamps (best friends alphabet set). I dont really feel a need (right now at least) for using the decorative paper because the pages come pre-designed. I also havent used the tape cause I am using my adhesive runner

Definitely gonna work on trying out those products though :-)

WOWZA!

Holy Guacamole!  Do we ever have some stuff going on around here????? It's time for our new catalog transition and that means new and exciting and it means....change!  We often don't like it....but we just gotta!!!

Follow along with the bouncing ball as I try to let you all know what is happening.....

COLOR REFRESH!!

We had our last configuration in 2010 and announced that every few years, we would update and refresh again.  So, here we are.  You can see that some of our "old" In Colors are coming back....and some of our tried and true favorites are leaving.  It's ok.  I am very excited to see some fun, fresh, up to date colors join our team.

When I first started, Mauve Mist, Mint Melody and Pale Plum were THE colors!!!  Times have changed!  So do our color families.

As of now, the retiring colors (ink, paper, ribbon, accessories) are while supplies last starting NOW!!!!  That means, they may not make it until the end of May, get them while you can!  If you love a color, grab a few packs of paper and I would encourage you to get a re-inker.  You can use those pads for years to come!

What does this really mean for you?  Nothing really....if you have those colors, it's ok....keep using them!  The Stamp Police won't shut ya down for using a retired color.  It means, when you run out of paper, you're out!  You can keep using an ink pad even when you don't have the matching cardstock...it's ok!  If you have it....you love it....use it!

Next big announcement:

FREE SHIPPING!

We hardly EVER offer free shipping, so make sure you take advantage....April 6th- April 8th.  FREE SHIPPING on EVERYTHING!!!! I will be placing an order on Monday, April 8th at 9pm.  If you wish to order, email me at cjbrechbill@earthlink.net.   Or you can order online at anytime time at www.jodybrechbill.stampinup.net.  You may order anything from the current catalog, Spring mini, Clearance Rack and even MDS!!!

***  If you are ordering online, please use HOSTESS CODE:  D9YM3KVF...to link up to my workshop.  If orders go over $150.00, I will raffle off hostess benefits for those who ordered only.

This is perfect to take advantage of order any of those retiring colors!!!!

Next announcement:

WATERCOLOR PENCILS/CRAYONS
RETIRING FOR GOOD!

As sad as we are to see them go, we had a manufacturing issue and we have to say goodbye.  These are also available while supplies last.  We do NOT have Brights at all, but the other colors are available.

This and That....part 1

The new Epic Day Journal Bundle arrived the other day.  I opened the box and looked at all the cool new stuff....and I thought, man, I have to give this stuff away! But that's ok, I knew my friend, Tabitha was waiting to do some serious damage with this fun new bundle.  Tabitha is a kindergarten teacher and a photographer and I was so happy she won.....she is going to photo journal her journal!  And you all get to follow to see where she started and where she'll end up!

Thanks for doing this, Tab....enjoy!  (oh, be sure to check out TabbiAnn Photography!)

Here we go:

I am so excited to get my journal and begin the process of being Jody's guinea pig for Stampin' Up's newest product: This & That Journal

I pulled everything out and examined all the pieces!

I am predicting my favorite product to be the date & rotary stamp

oh plus the SWEETEST find ever!!
