Calling all stampers!  I am hosting my first ever Card Buffet!  Come join the fun on Saturday, March 9th at my place from 9am-noon.  RSVP soon, because space is limited.  If the first session gets full, I'll have an afternoon session as well.

What is a card buffet you ask?  Well, you get to pick and choose whatever YOU want!  I'll have 10 samples prepared, you can make whatever you want, as many as you want....just pay per card.  Each card is $2.00.  If you need 5 birthday...make 5.  If you want to make one of everything...feel free.  Need a few thinking of you...make what you need (within reason, of course....I don't have supplies for each guest to make 100 cards!)  I've done all the work for you...just stamp and assemble!

Hope to see you soon!  And, since it's been awhile...how about some blog candy?  Just leave me a comment here, on email or on facebook and tell me what you think about this new class?  Don't forget to leave your name!!!  Drawing will be held on Friday morning!

Free is good, right?

We all love free, don't we?  I just figured out how to make this work using My Digital Studio.  We have desktop wallpaper....for you....for free.   I know February is 1/2 over, but hoping we get a new one for each month.

Go to my website here   CLICK HERE  and you can download Jan and Feb.  It will be saved in MDS under Embellishments --> Designer kits.  Make sure you note the name of it so you can find it again.

Here is the tutorial I found helpful from www.mydigitalstudio.net:

You'll notice that the 6 different files are named by the size of resolution (1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200, and 2560x1440). Any of those files will work as your desktop, but if you want to find the file that will fit the best, you will want to figure out your computer's resolution here. If one of the file sizes we have provided doesn't match your screen resolution exactly, just pick the one that is closest. Continue to edit your wallpaper, then export your image as a JPG.

If you like the images as they are, you can simply download them for use with Other Applications.

Once you have your final wallpaper in whatever size you would like, now it's time to set it as your desktop wallpaper. If you are on a Windows computer, simply navigate to where your image is (wherever you exported your altered image, or wherever you downloaded the Other Applications images), right-click on it, and choose set as desktop background. If you are on a Mac,
here is a good list of instructions you can
follow.

Hope that helps you as well....I played with the size of mine and it turned out pretty well.  It tell you that it may be blurry if you try and make it bigger, but I did anyway and it looks great.

Enjoy.....and check back to see if we release one for March!

Happy Valentine's Day

to all my favorite stampers!

This my card this year.  I used You Are Loved set and a Cherry Cobbler/Summer Starfruit combo.  Turned out better than I had planned!

These are treats for Jr's class.  I am so happy he still endulges me and let's me make crafty things for his class.  I'm sure that will be ending soon as he enters middle school?  I used the Treat bundle we had in January and filled our 1 x 8 cell bags with valentine m/m's.  A little stamping, a little die cutting and a little punching and here they all are!

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you...and as my friend, Debi, says.....
Hope you have a heart on!

My Paper Pumpkin Posse

The other day, I filled you all in on Paper Pumpkin...remember?  If you didn't catch it,

Some of you have signed up and I am so excited to see what little goodies we'll be getting each month!  I have decided to start a Paper Pumpkin Posse....just for you, my pumpkinteers.  I haven't worked out all the details, but I would like to have some exclusive offers just for you.

Here's the first perk for my Posse:  if you refer someone to Paper Pumpkin, and they sign up under me.....YOU get a free gift!  This goes for one person or 100 people!  Just make sure I know who you referred, I'll do the rest.  I plan on having other perks along the way....like a GNO (girl's night out)...bring your pretty little box, and we'll have snacks and put our kits together.  Or I may offer an extra project or so using the items from your kit.

If you have any questions about this fun new program, let me know!  If you wish to sign up, just contact me, and I can take care of it for you!  And, a fun red box will arrive at your door around the 15th of every month!

Paper Pumpkin....what's the deal?

Paper Pumpkin is coming soon.....are you ready? What is it really?  Well, I'm here to tell you, I have the first kit and I love it.  They gave us 2 samples at Leadership so we could see, touch and feel first hand what you'll get every month....delivered to your door!

So, here's the deal, yo.  You sign up at www.mypaperpumpkin.com and choose ME as your demonstrator.  Beginning in March, around the 15th of the month, a lovely little box o' goodies arrives....right to your door.

This is EXACTLY what you'll look like when you open that little red box!  Inside you'll find a project:  could be cards, could be decor items, could be 3D items, could be a journal, you'll never know....and that's 1/2 the fun, right?  Everything you need is in that box, already pre scored, pre die cut, pre color coordinated- from cardstock, to buttons, to ribbon, to stamps and ink pads....it's all in there!!!!!  .....and an instruction sheet to tell you what to do.

Here is the very first kit you'll receive:  it's called the Welcome Kit and no matter when you sign up, you'll receive this as your first first one....why?  Because it contains your FREE block for your stamps!!!!

There it all is.....of course, yours will be WAY cooler!  They wanted us to have the product and it wasn't completely "prettied" up.  But...instructions, block, stampin' spot, stamps, cardstock and die cuts.

Here is the first card.....exactly like they told me.  There are enough supplies to make 4 cards.  I'm going to "doctor" up the other 3....you know, cuz I can.  But, if you are looking for easy, peasy mac n cheesy....this is up your alley.

And you know what?  That Basic Gray cardstock is WHITE inside!!!  So, you can write and it won't be too dark!!!  Love that!!!

Now, that is the Welcome Kit.  When you sign up for Paper Pumpkin, it's $19.95 each month which includes shipping!  Now, that's pretty cool.  You'll automatically renew each month unless you decide to cancel.  However, if you cancel....and start back up again, you'll get that Welcome kit again.  So....if you find you want to "hold" for a bit, you can do that.

If you aren't sold....but would like to try out a kit without signing up....our TRY IT kit may be for you.

Here is the Try It kit...which is only available through me or via my online store. Purchasing the Try It kit does NOT sign you up for monthly Paper Pumpkins.   Again, everything you need to create a cool journal.

Which looks like this when you are done.  I made each of these projects in....about 1-2 minutes.  Seriously!

I envision this as a GREAT idea for those crafty kids....wouldn't they LOVE getting a box of craftin' goodies at their door each month?  Or maybe an older friend who is looking for something to do, but has a hard time seeing to measure, punch etc?  Or anyone who just loves to craft!  Most of the stamps that will arrive in these kits are exclusive...you won't see them anywhere else for sale.

I hope that helps give you a little glimpse of  Paper Pumpkin......if you have any other questions, let me know.  But feel free to start your subscription by logging on to www.mypaperpumpkin.com  or ordering a TRY IT kit from me!

Craftin' with Kids

I was so sorry to have to cancel this class when we got some bad weather a few weekends ago, but...we made it up on Saturday.  Sadly, the flu bug got to some kiddos and the new date didn't suit some....but we partied on.

Thanks to David, Hannah, Alana, Tyler, Brock and Kylie who came to make some cards with me.  McKayla and Carys visited a few days earlier as well.  Oh....and Mario and Luigi came as well....they enjoyed turning the handle of the Big Shot!

The kids were great....such super Jr. Stampers!  I hope you'll come back again in August!!!

Here is what they made:

Mystery Monday- February

We all love to solve a mystery....don't we?  We solved the theme of this month's mystery Monday-  Mini Madness!!!

Our Spring catalog is amazing and Sale a Bration is in full swing, so we made some super awesome cards, if I do say so myself!

This vintage style card uses Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze.  We used 2 SAB sets:  Bloomin' Marvelous and Feeling Sentimental.  The background is French Script.

Oh, Hello.....so cute.  Love the combo of Basic Gray and Pink Pirouette.  This card uses the new Digital Tape...I love it!  We also used the new Two Tone Ribbon in the Spring catalog.

This may be my favorite!  I just received By the Tide for free for attending Leadership.    We used Pool Party, Whisper White and Sahara Sand.  Mr. Fish is embossed using our new Pool Party embossing powder.  We also added some twine and a silver basic button from the Spring mini.

I hope you'll join us next month.  I will not be holding Mystery Monday every month, it's not my most attended class....I think it sneaks up on us since it's the first Monday....so, I'm switching it up.  Next month, I'm working on a class called Monogram Madness and it will include your very own monogram stamp!!!

WOW Wednesday- January

I love WOW Wednesday!  I sure did miss it over the holiday break!  Here is what we made:

This super quick card uses items from the Pop Up Posies kit on page 18 of the Spring catalog.  The paper tag is already cut and pre embossed...just stamp it.  The flowers are pre cut as well...and come in Coral or Pool Party.  Punch a hole in the center and add a fabric brad- Starfruit or White come in the kit!  The stamp is included as well as some vanilla baker's twine.  Perfect for cards, tags or packaging!

This card highlights are soda pop tops.  These are pretty big to mail, so you'd hand deliver or hand cancel if mailing....but did you know....you can run them through the big shot and flatten them?  Cool!

This card works pretty well for a masculine card.  It uses our natural trim ribbon and the Natural Composition designer paper.  It is Crumb Cake in color and pre embossed....all we did was sponge Midnight Muse ink on it and it looks super!

Because I love my stampers so much, I gave them a 4th project this month!  This uses our Valentine stamp from the treat bundle.  It works perfectly with our Full Heart punch!

If you wish to order any of these products, you can order online at my store:  www.jodybrechbill.stampinup.net or contact me at cjbrechbill@earthlink.net and I can hook you up!
