Non Tradtional Christmas

My husband always says, "if it's not red and green, it's not Christmas."  Well...we stampers know different, don't we?  I did a swap with my demo friends and the challenge was to use non traditional colors for Christmas cards.  I hardly ever use red and green on my holiday cards so this was right up my alley!

In case you've been following my sporadic 12 weeks of Christmas.....I am quitting!  Life got in the way and I just can't keep up.  I will post some ideas as they come along, but I'm taking the weekly posting off my list.  And, in case you aren't following along....I think there's, like....4 weeks to Christmas.....so get shake a tail feather!!

Ribbon Share 2011- December

Many of you took advantage of of Ribbon Share in November....well, now it's time to sign up for December.  This month, you'll receive 2 yards of each of our new scallop dots ribbon!  That's 20 yards total!  You'll love this ribbon....polkadots on one side, plain on the other.   It is a little more this month since the ribbon is a bit more expensive and you get more of it.  Cost is $19.00....email me by December 1st to sign up.

November 2011- February 2012

If you know me, you know I LOVE ribbon.  I use it on just about every card I make.  It’s so convenient to have it in all the colors I know love.   It’s a great way to add a little extra BAM to that special project.   Here is your chance to own many colors and styles at a fantastic price!  This share gives you a nice sampling of every color, perfect for making a few projects.  If you purchased these spools by themselves, it would cost $60-$70 each month!  What a great way to have fun, new ribbons and stay within your budget!

Terrific Tool Tuesday

Today, I am going to focus on one of stamping's unsung heroes.  You know him, you love him....it's none other than.....the bone folder!

He goes by many names around here.....some of which you can just imagine.  But, it is one of the tools I use everyday and never really even think about.  A funny story:  my son's class was making cards last year (both of his teachers are the scrappy/stampy/crafty type).  They brought in their goodies for the kids to use.  His teachers were impressed when he asked if they had a bone folder for him to use to fold his cards.   Thank goodness he didn't call it what we crazy ladies tend to call it!!  Now, I honestly have used many bone folders....but I LOVE ours.  It's true, it's made of genuine bone, not plastic....makes a HUGE difference.  It's nice and solid and can handle the pressure and it's polished so smooth, it just glides over the paper.  Trust me....ask me if you can try it next time your here stamping.  I forgot to put mine out for you to use.

I think this may catch me up...although, we are having a debate in our house as to how many days there really are until Christmas.  Neither of us wants to actually count- so we'll continue to dispute it.  Besides...do we REALLY want to know how many days it is.
