WOW at Norlo

We held another Norlo event last Saturday and it was a BLAST!  We got a little off this year, because we normally do a Kiss Em Goodbye party and focus on our retiring items....instead Stampin' Up! changed it up on us and the new catty was out in June, so we had a New Catalog Kick Off event and focused on bringing some WOW!

A tisket, a tasket.....Heather F's basket:

Using our Build a Flower Punch, Heather M created this awesome flower.  Great as a magnet or pin.

Becky created this awesome triple pocket card.  Imagine this with little decorated tags in each pocket, pictures or even gift cards!

Mandy's project was this cutie patootie corner book mark.  Perfect for marking your worn copy of 50 Shades of Grey  ;)

This is mine.  It's called Delft Tile and you can find out how to create it by CLICKING HERE

And Debi's double peekaboo window....total awesome sauce!  I just created my own tonight and trust me, it's so stinking cute, but you'll want to follow the video fo sho!

Finally, here is our perk project...gals who pre registered got a FREE project

We reduced, reused and recycled by using our button containers and the spools off an empty ribbon roll to create a baker's twine holder.  Punch a hole in the side of the container with your crop o dile....attach your spool to a 2 3/8 scallop circle punch and away it spins!

Finally, been awhile since I've given away some blog candy, so here we go:
I miss this little guy....Triple Treat Flower.....he retired in May.  It was a great little stamp for fun cards.  It's yours....for free.   Just let me know which of our norlo projects is YOUR favorite!  Leave a comment here, on facebook or email me.  I'll draw a winner winner chicken dinner when I get back from Jersey on Monday.....good luck!

I'm in LOVE!

So, I've been hearing about these "dauber" cases....everyone has been talking them up all over town and I wasn't sure what the buzz was all about.  I broke down and bought one and it sat in my stamp room.  Then, over the weekend, I thought...well, I guess I better put this sucker to good use.

Here is what it looks like on the outside:

Pretty unassuming, huh?  Cute little plastic case.....again......what's the deal?  Why all the "ooohhhing" and "aaahhhing?

Well, when you open this puppy up:

Oh yes....the heavens open and the angels sing!!!  A place for everything and everything in its place!!!  I love me some organization and this is perfection....a dauber for every color!  No more wondering if it's used or just stained and no more CLEANING of every dauber.  Just pull out the one you need, use it and put it back!  Easy peesy lemon squeezy!!!   I love it!

A close up of the lid.....in case you aren't sure where each color is to go....a handy dandy little chart to let you know (thanks to a fellow demo who gave me the template).  Isn't this the greatest?  Now, I will say, it was a bit pricey by the time I bought the case/daubers/shipping/handling.....but I have been using it every day and each time I just daub....and put away!  No longer do I have wet daubers lining my kitchen sink waiting to dry!  Woohoo.......

I am thinking of offering this as a "perk" for you all..cuz I loves ya.  I'm planning on offering one of two things:  either the case straight up.....you take it from there.  Or the fully complete, decorated, full of daubers case with chart...ready to pick up and start using.   You don't have to do a thang.   Be on the look out for info soon.

New Ink Pads

So, I'm chillin' in my stamp room, trying to get some samplers ready of all these fun, new goods I have hanging around, and, for the first time, I got to really play with the new ink pads.  Let me just say:  YES!!!!  They are awesome!  They give such great coverage, you are gonna just love them too!
So.....here's the 411:

With the introduction of the 2012-2013 annual catalog, we have made a very big change to our Stampin’ Pads.
Introducing firm foam pads! They change your stamping experience for the better.
We know you’re going to love these new Stampin’ Pads—just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:
  • Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
  • Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
In addition, our new Stampin’ Pads
  • Create wonderfully solid images. The Firm Foam releases more ink onto your rubber stamp than the felt pads. When using the Firm Foam pad, your stamp will get an even, solid covering of ink that you may not have been able to achieve with the felt pads. Please note: if you are using the ink pad frequently you may need to re-ink your Firm Foam pad more often.
  • Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
  • Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)--just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
  • Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
  • Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!
Please note: Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new firm foam pads. These colors are
  • Basic Black
  • Basic Gray
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Tempting Turquoise
All five colors of the reformulated inks have been fully tested and approved. While using the new ink formula in the old Stampin’ Pads is fine, we do not recommend using the old ink formula for these five colors in the new firm foam pads. Any refills purchased after April 30, 2012, will contain the new formulated ink.*

WOW Wednesday- April

Wow Wednesday was last week.....I am so behind in posting, I apologize.

Here are the projects we made:

This is a little note pad holder using our "empty" clear stamp cases.  Great idea for Mother's Day or Teacher Appreciation.
We used Flower Fest-----which is retiring soon.

A great set we are loosing next month, Fifth Avenue Flora.
The rose is stamped in white craft on vellum cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder.  We then colored on the back with Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose markers, then cut out.  A beautiful card...perfect for Mother's Day!

We used the Bright Blossoms stamp set- which will be in the new catalog.

I challenged my "wowers" with a lot of cutting this month!
