Finally!

STAMPIN' SCRUB AVAILABLE!

We have replenished our supplies of Stampin' Scrub (item # 102642) and Stampin' Scrub Refill Pads (item # 101230) and are happy to announce these products are now available for regular orders.

As a result of the material issues, our suppliers was unable to provide the same scrubbing pad material.  While you may notice a slight difference in the material, the functionality and high- quality standards remain the same.  After in-house testing, we approved the materials change because we found it to be an excellent alternative.

As you know, Stampin' Scrub was temporarily unavailable as part of the Starter Ki9t.  Effective today at noon, it will return as a Starter Kit item.  Again, we thank you for your patience throughout this process.

Mini Stamp a Stack

Wouldn't you love to have one of a kind, hand stamped cards- on hand all the time....all you have to do is sign 'em and send 'em!  Then mini stamp a stack is just what you need!  Once a month- you come to my studio and create 3 different cards, you make 2 of each card.  This class used to be a "scratch" class...where you had to cut your own cardstock.  I've changed that and it is now a make n take class.  The cost is $15.00 for 6 cards and envelopes are included.    Check out my calendar of events to see when the next one is and make sure to put it on your calendar!

Here is what we made last week:

May is National Scrapbook Month

And we'll have some fun specials coming up.  I happen to know that discounted printing is one and I am furiously working on finishing my 2010 album.  I did it totally digital.  I've said it over and over...but I love My Digital Studio.....and my laptop.  I can sit with the fam at night and watch some mindless entertainment while scrapping away.

I wasn't sure how I would feel when this was first announced.  As a "paper crafter" I love the textures, colors and feel of paper, stamps and ribbon.  I wasn't sure I would enjoy "digi scrappin."  But, I'm here to tell you....I'm a convert!!!!   The biggest reason is because I have years of pictures sitting in a file in my computer and no one sees them.  I don't have time to get out all my "stuff" and work on traditional pages.  I scrapbook- oh, maybe once or twice a year.  My children have seen very few pictures of themselves when they were babies....because they are stuffed in a box waiting to be scrap booked.

So, I decided to do 2010 completely digital.....see how I liked it and perhaps move forward with it.  I will have to go backwards traditionally since all those pictures are not in my computer.

Now, one thing I was totally NOT expecting was that my kids would start using my software.  They both fight over who gets to make pages.  I'm not sure if they'll ever be printed....but let me tell you how much I LOVE seeing what they journal.  I get a tear in my eye when I read about our beach vacation from their point of view.

So, I still LOVE me some paper, cardstock and accessories....but I feel that I get that outlet through my card making.  Now, MDS can help you design and create cards too...and I've done a couple, but I do prefer traditional when it comes to cards.

I am almost finished with 2010 and will be printing my pages in May.  Make sure to check them out when you come stamp and see what you think.   I have never been this far ahead before and it makes me pretty darn happy!

Strength and Hope Swap in the House!

There are some other local demos in our area and I love to get together with them.  The problem is that we are all busy people and it's hard finding a time that suits all of us.  One of them suggested doing a swap using the Strength and Hope set and I jumped on the chance.   I got mine the other day and they are AWESOME!  I couldn't wait to share them with you all!   It was such a hit, that we are going to do it again for the Summer Mini!   This set is going to be available in the Summer Mini and it's a special set since some of the proceeds are going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.   So, I had to buy it immediately.  Doesn't hurt that the butterfly is gorgeous!   I am holding a STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER Event on May 25th.  Look for details tomorrow.    You won't want to miss it....the class fee includes your very own Strength and Hope set!

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Every year, during Sale a Bration, I do a 50/50 board.  When a customer orders $50.00, their name is placed on the board in one of 50 blocks.  Once all 50 blocks are filled, I make my kids cut up the blocks and draw a winner.  This year, Taryn was in charge and she drew Linda Hess.  Congratulations, Linda....you won a $50.00 Stampin Up gift certificate!!!

Embossed Ribbon

In my vast Internet search, I came across this interesting fact.  You can dry emboss ribbon.  Cool.  I tried it and it works.

See?

cardstock:  river rock, not quite navy, whisper white
ink: not quite navy
stamp sets:  punch potpourri (hostess), four frames (april special), all holidays
accessories:  paisley prints designer series paper, boho blossoms punch, designer label punch, brads, pearls, white satin ribbon and framed tulip embossing

Attach your ribbon to a strip of cardstock the same width as the ribbon or just a bit larger.  Use sticky strip or mono to attach.  Then run the ribbon/cardstock through Mr. Big with which ever embossing folder you choose.  I used the Framed Tulip....which is a little tricky.  Under the Frame is the corner of the folder.  So, technically, I ran it thru twice to go the whole length of the ribbon.

Enjoy!

Sunday Morning = New Tattoo

That's right, Stampers.....it's been a fairly quiet morning here on the farm so seems like a great day to get a new tattoo.  Now, I should inject here that, "tattoo" is what my daughter calls our line of Decor Elements.   I got the Just Believe "tattoo" for free and decided it was as good a time as any to put it up.  I took pictures as I went.  I've done them before, but this was my first one that required piecing seams together.  It wasn't hard, but I do have an idea to make it go a little better next time.  I can see the seams and I bet you can too, if you get on your hands and knees with your magnifying glass.

Here we go:

All in all, I really like it.  I have one small mess up, but it's hard to see.   I just love our line of Decor Elements and I can't wait to see what new ones will be coming out in July.   Here are some more of the ones you can find in my stamp studio:

This was a "freebie" during Sale a Bration.  It's a chalkboard!  I love it!!
