What can MDS do for you????

Well, it can certainly make your Christmas cards unique, one of a kind and super easy!

This year, I wanted to try the "photo card" thing.....but I do love making my cards.  What to do, what to do.....MDS to the rescue!!!

I chose premade downloads...which may have cost $1.95?  But I totally could have made them myself with all the components of MDS.

All I did was purchase/download ....took, maybe 5 minutes?  Found the pictures I wanted to use and dropped them in the photo box....took, maybe 2 minutes?  Then I added my own sentiment.....  Then I uploaded them to Stampin' Up!....took (well...a long time because I was uploading my calendars as well and my computer hiccuped in the middle....but normally, it would take 5 or so minutes).

The longest part was shopping for FREEBIES....because my calendars/cards totalled $150.00, I got FREE hostess goodies.   My calendars were $29.95 each and I ordered one for the hubs and all the grandparents.  My cards were $1.45 each, which included envelopes.

The 2nd longest part was waiting!  I was really pushing it by the time I ordered,  but 10 days later, they showed up on my doorstep.  I opened them, put them in an envelope and slapped an address sticker on.....they are postal tomorrow!

Easy, peesy mac n cheesy!  I am soooo doing this again next year!  But, I will continue to make handmade cards for my very special friends and customers!

Here is what they looked like:

This is the back, pretty cool...it's designer series paper, you can add text, embellishements, your christmas letter, more pics or leave blank for your friends to use in their scrapbook.

    500 Club

I mentioned a bit ago about my 500 club.  This is a special night of free stamping (you don't get that often, huh?) for my hostesses who knocked out a $500 workshop (or 2) this year.

It's by invitation only and I try to spoil them a little....door prizes, 3 make n takes, dessert etc.

I wanted to take a minute to recognize them a little bit.....because without my hostessess, well, I certainly wouldn't be where I am today.

Congratulations to Muriel T! She won an entire set of brand new, firm foam pads!  She was the hostess with the mostess and had a $ 796.25 workshop....and she had another one a few days ago for $ 540.95!

The rest of the 500 club is:
    Sheba:  $606
    Elaine: $584.45
    Brenda G:  $508.20
    Judy B:  $528.85
    Carol S:  $505.15
    Mandy S:  $515.23
    Rose:  $506.67
    Barb D:  $500.15
    Glenda M:  $508.95
    Pam B:  $511.42

Thank you so much to all my hostesses and customers....you make my "job" soooo much fun!

This has been in the works for a few days......this is a squash book.  I used it as a recipe book, but you could replace the recipes with pictures in a snap.  What a great gift for a cookie exchange or the g-rents with pics of the grandkiddos!

    Mystery Monday- December

Mystery Monday was last week and I was worried that it was bad timing...holidays and all, but I was happy when 6 of you came....and some were new!  Welcome!

The theme was:  Christmas....it's a comin'!  And here is what we made:

BTW:  12 days is on hold for a bit....I was struck with the lovely stomach bug this weekend.  I had a workshop in Shipp on Saturday and thanks to a wonderful customer and friend...she took the reins and it was ok, but my goods are still in Shipp until tomorrow.  Which means, all my clear blocks, both Mr.Bigs and apparently, my creativity are gone for the weekend!  I'll be back to work on Monday and there will be some double posts, most likely!

12 Days of Christmas- Day 7

In keeping with the Mr. Big theme....here is another cute idea.  This is our Bigz Stocking Die and it's so stinking cute.  Use it to cut out paper and create ornaments, gift card holders, treat containers or even cut it out of fabric and sew adorable little stockings!
