NEW Photopolymer Set.....Another Thank You

I saw a sample of a card using this set in our demo magazine, Stampin' Success and I was really excited to see this new set.....I didn't dream it was photopolymer!

This set is called Another Thank You and is full of all kinds of "thank you's" in different sizes and fonts.  It is photopolymer, which means it's totally clear...perfect for lining up images exactly right every time.  Our stamps are super sticky, so you don't have to worry about them falling off the block.  I have been impressed with the sets I have...I think you will be too.

This set sells for $13.95 and you can view a full color flyer by CLICKING HERE

Another fun announcement is that our new Envelope Punch Board will be arriving soon!  We got to see it in action at Convention and I am impressed!  Super compact, super easy to use and will create over 66 different sized envelopes in seconds!  Stay tuned for more info on September 1st!

Undefined....carve your own stamp!

So....at convention, SU announced Undefined....a carve your own stamp line.  Shannon West demo'ed it and dang, her stuff was cute!  They even gave us a sample of rubber/foam/wood  so we could try it out ourselves.  Needless to say, with over 5,000 other demos, the carving area was a bit full.  I packed mine up and figured, I'll try it at home.  But, I did get to see all the stamps the demos were carving and holy guacamole...they were cute!!

I came home and ordered my Undefined kit (it was on sale for us convention demos....yet another perk of going!)

This is the kit.  It sells for $19.95 and includes everything you need to create about 4 stamps.  You'll get the rubber, 2 carving tools, foam, wood blocks, an indigo marker (so you can actually stamp your image right away!), an idea sampler and some note cards to stamp!

The cool thing is.....if you love it....you can then purchase refill kits for only $9.95

My kit arrived and I decided to give it a try.  I had envisioned my kids each carving their own personalized stamp with their name.  I asked Aidan what he wanted....and he drew me this:

Wow...ok.  It's pretty detailed, but they made it look so easy at Convention (and if you get a chance, search Undefined on Pinterest...holy wow!  There are some awesome samples on there)  I had him trace it really dark in pencil.  Flipped it over and rubbed it on to the rubber to transfer the image and started carving.

About 1/2 way through and one carve to my thumb, I started thinking:  this looks awful, what a mess, this whole thing is ruined.  I can't do this.  But, I kept going.

Finally, after 20 minutes or so, I was done.  And, honestly, it wasn't hard.  It was my first attempt and I should've done something less "tricky" until I got the feel of carving.   I still thought I screwed it up, because....it's not pretty.  We are used to seeing the beautiful images Stampin' Up! makes...not this piece of rubber that looks like a tried to chew an image into it.  But....attached it to the block and stamped my first image.....

Well, look at that.  It's not bad, if I do say so myself!  The one thing I did learn, was not to carve deep.  The tools cut that rubber like butter....and before you know it, it's very easy to be too deep in the rubber.  Lessons learned and we are totally making more stamps!

I think it would be so cool to immortalize your kids hand printed (or cursive if you're brave) name in a stamp....no matter how old they are!  Or create the logo of your favorite sports team...create one of a kind stamps for the back of your cards!  The images from convention included lots of minions and even one pile of poop with flies!  Maybe I need that for the farm!

I know you want to try it too!!!!......so, I'm giving away an Undefined kit!!!  All you have to do is leave a comment here, on facebook or email me and you'll be entered to win!  Drawing will be on Wednesday (August 14th) morning, so hurry and enter!  please make sure you're commenting...all the facebook "likes,"  don't count!!!!

Holiday Mini is LIVE!!!

The holiday catalog launches today, and it's filled with plenty of products so you and your customers can get started on your holiday projects. It's also a great time to reach out to new customers. Take advantage of the low price of a box of annual catalogs and give new customers a copy along with the holiday catalog--it's an easy way for you to show off all current Stampin' Up! products. And if you have a DBWS, be sure to remind your customers that they can go to your DBWS anytime to get new holiday catalog project ideas or to order products.
Be sure to try out the new augmented reality feature--available today--to see videos that show our products in action. It's easy enough for newbies, fun enough for tech-savvy users, and free!
  1. Install the free Layar app to your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Using the Layar app, scan any catalog page that has the Stampin' Up! Interactive icon on it.
While you're using this feature, be sure to share your favorite products and videos on social media so your friends can see what there is to love about Stampin' Up! products.
Different mobile devices work differently with different apps. Some are faster than others, some take more steps to load videos, etc. With the Layar app, we have noticed these differences in user experience too.

awesome right????

this is easy peasy lemon squeezy....so fun and bright.

ink:  island indigo
accessories:  mosaic embossing folder, chevron embossing folder, polkadot embossing folder, 7/8 scallop punch, 1 inch circle punch, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, stampin' dimensionals

I really love this one...and you can't quite see the cool centers of the daisies :(
(this was inspired from mary fish)

stamp set:  sassy salutations, best of flowers (25th anniversary special set)
cardstock:  daffodil delight, early espresso, whisper white, brights designer paper pack
ink:  early espresso

So...punch our 3 full flowers using the scallop punch, then stamp 3 flower centers.  punch out using the small circle from itty bitty punch pack.  attach the center on the full flower with a glue dot and cover with crystal effect.  allow to dry overnight...you'll love it!

Now...housekeeping!  Thanks to all of you who keep following me!  The blog candy winner is.....Danielle Davis!!!  Way to go, Danielle, a box of fun is coming your way!

In With You...winner!

Spread the Joy, by Emily M. from the Stampin’ Up! home office, is the first winning stamp set from In With You, our new stamp set design challenge beta program.
In April, Stampin’ Up! employees were given the challenge to create a “bucket list” stamp set. Emily “wanted to make a set that could be versatile and usable for lots of different things.” Employees fell in love with her design and voted the set to victory!
Purchase the Spread the Joy Stamp Set #134784

From Emily (winner):
When I was twelve, a demonstrator gave me my very first catalog. I remember studying every page and staying up late making wish lists and doodling coordinating images. I dreamed of designing stamp sets someday.
Years went by and I forgot about that dream. I moved to college and traveled. My stamps stayed home and collected dust under my bed. Slowly, Stampin’ Up! found its way back into my life, and on a whim I applied for a job as a writer. The stars aligned and I got the job! I thought I would die of happiness. I got to see the illustrators at work, and I remembered my love for stamps.
As a writer and now a trainer, I don’t doodle as much as I thought I would. When the stamp contest was announced, I knew I had to be true to myself and enter. The theme—Bucket List—was tricky! Although I do want to go skydiving and visit all 50 states, a big part of my bucket list is becoming what I want to be—so my set is a reminder. “Spread the Joy” reminds me to let loose and enjoy life; to leave love notes for my husband and kids; to be brave when life is stormy; and to do the things that really matter! I’m particularly proud of the jam and bread—100 percent my husband’s idea.
Creating my own stamp set was definitely part of my bucket list! Get your Spread the Joy Set today!
